“YOU AIN'T GOT NO YEEZY IN YO SERATO”

Kanye West

Saint Pablo Tour @ AllState Arena

Chicago, IL

October 8, 2016

As I sitting at one of my good friend’s wedding, it hits me that I got a train to catch in a couple of hours…

The homie had bought the Yeezy tixs through Tidal which was an opportunity I could not pass up.  Kanye in Chicago equalled a no brainer for me LOL. As we got closer to the date of show the others in the group started selling their tixs online to make money.  It got to the point where I was the only one still left with a ticket.  With a little bit of “F*ck It” in me, I booked a train ticket to Chicago 3 days before the concert.

End up getting dropped off at the train station at about 1 AM in Lincoln, after the wedding. Still congrats, Samantha and Justin.

The train ride was a nice little journey instead of driving.  Eventually I passed out then I awake to a full on Amish family had boarded the train.  You can imagine what I woke up to with 15-20 Amish, speaking some German dialect and I am there with my Macbook and Beats headphones on.

As the journey approached the Windy City, I checked-in via the Facebook.  Just so happened a good friend college, Donald and his future wife were also in Chicago.  They were to cheer on a friend that was going to be running the Chicago Marathon  the next day.

Straight from the train, we hung out down on the River Front while catching up over some mimosas and people watching.  Taking in all the sights and sounds of the beautiful Chicago backdrop.  As the sun started to go down we decided to explore a little bit.  Stumbled upon a crazy bar called Spin.  Literally drinks and ping pong tables on every floor!!  This place was insane.

After a couple of rounds, said goodbye to friends.  Being a purveyor that I am, I wanted to check RSVP Gallery.  Due to the amount of traffic in the city with the Cubs in playoffs, Bulls home game, Kanye Concert and the Chicago marathon in the morning.  SO MANY PEOPLE!!!  By the time the Uber got me to RSVP, they were getting ready to shut down, so I didn't get to shop much which was a bummer.

Took another Uber north to check-in at the Airbnb that was outside of the city, to change and prepare for the concert.  The owners were awesome, they fed me classic Chicago pizza while we watched the Cubbies in Game 2 of the NLDS.

Made it to the concert.  And I cannot even put into words how I felt leaving his show.  The detail he goes into truly providing an experience is insane.  Be sure to check the clips.  Met new homies, copped some merch, made it to the floor and jumped around a bit.  Surely one for the books.

Next morning I headed back downtown and got to experience the craziness of one the country’s biggest marathons.  After that it was back to the train station for the journey back to Omaha. Mission Complete.  Memories Captured.
